Craft Canopy
General Information
Types of canopies Craft Canopy carries (2) different type canopies. The EZUP Pop Up Canopy and Pipe Type Canopies which this webpage mainly refers to.
Shipping Costs: Because the framework on our canopies use elecrical conduit or top fence railing, you can save money on the pipe as well as shipping costs by buying the pipe locally. We will give you dimensions to cut the pipe and pipe color coding so there's no guesswork on your part.
Canopy Fittings: Our Canopy Fittings are all galvanized to prevent rust and corrosion. They are available in 3/4", 1", 1 3/8", 1 5/8" 1 7/8" sizes. The pipe is inserted into the fittings and you tighten 'Eye Screws" by hand that makes a very tight fit between pipe and fitting. These pipes and fittings form the shape of the framework. Because we buy in volumn, we can keep prices down giving you the most economical canopy anywhere. Click on Canopy Fittings at bottom of this page to see the various fittings & types.
Larger Canopies: With our wide assortment of fittings, canopies up to 20x30 can be built. We have all the drawings in our Computer showing fitting type, location, and color-coding which we furnish free. We can fax or email you drawings before building so you know exactly what it looks like.
Tarps: We use a White or Silver Heavy Duty Polyethlene Tarp for our Pipe Type Canopies. These tarps have a 12x12 weave and are made to Craft Canopies Specifications. Grommets are spaced every 18" for a tight fit to your framework. Tarps are held to the framework with the use of Ball Bungees. Some shows are requiring 'Fully Approved Flame Retardant' tarps. We also have these available in most sizes at an additional charge. You can e-mail us or call our Toll-Free Number for Information about these tarps at ( 1-800-457-5644 ). We carry a wide assortment of White or Silver Tarps. (8x10 all the way up to 30x40). (Silver Also Available).
Weighting Canopies Down: Wind is your worst enemy with any portable type shelter. I highly recommend that 'all' canopies be weighted down. Staking is one answer, (Grass & Dirt), but on asphalt or concrete this is not possible. I recommend a minimum of 20-40lbs per 'leg'. This usually is good for up to 20 MPH winds. After that it's best to take your canopy down. Craft Canopy sells weight bags for our Pipe Type Canopies as well as The EZUP Canopy and other Pop-Ups. You can find these and many other items under 'Tarps, Bungees & Accessories' below.
