#1 Any top, regardless of color requires a custom sewn top. The reason is that this top is sewn differently than the standard off the shelf top to eliminate any seams where the silkscreen will be applied. Sort of like eliminating a speed bump in a road. The silkscreen must have a perfectly flat surface to apply it to.
#2 There is basically (2) areas on the canopy top that are silksceenable. The slope part that goes from the edge of the overhang (valance) to the very top of the canopy. The second area is the valance itself. This is totally vertical and is approx 12" tall. Silkscreens can be applied also to sidewalls, railskirts, panorama sidewalls, table covers, interior or exterior.
It's best not to silkscreen on both sides of the fabric because some bleedthrough might occur.
Remember that you need a silkscreen for every color of your logo. To keep costs down it's a good idea to have a (1) color logo although any number of colors can be in your logo. Note: There is also digital printing available if your logo has many colors or shades from one color to another. See Below for more info on digital printing.
There are (2) different types of logos. Upper top logos & valance logos.
Upper top logo sizes are as follows in inches. (20x40), (40x60), (45x80), (50x90) & (50x120)
Valance logos (10x48), (10x72), (10x90) & (10x120).Ususally valance logos are for company name or website.
Price increases as the logo size increases.
#3 Pass charges mean that everytime the silkscreen(s) are applied to the fabric there is a charge.
As an example if you put your (1) color logo on the top slope area (4) times, you would have (4) pass charges. If you have a (2) color logo then there would be (8) pass charges
for the top. If logos are applied to sidewalls or railskirts then additional pass charges would apply.
#4 Digital Printing If your logo is really complex with multible colors then digital printing is the way to go. Digital printing is based on a square footage basis and normally costs about $12.00 to $14.00 per sq foot. Digital printing is actually printed on an applique, a piece of cloth which has the same characteristics as the top itself. The applique is then sewn to the top. There is an applique fee associated with digital printing.
#5 Graphic Requirments In order to get the right colors for your logo you must furnish a PMS color number for each color of your logo. PMS means Pantone Matching System. You must also furnish the artwork for your logo in a vector based file such as Adobe Illustrator (Vector .ai or .eps). Corel Draw is another drawing program .cdr file format. As a courtesy to our customers we will email you back an image of the completed canopy for your review. We can use .gif or .jpg file formats for this. Just email us your logo or point us to a website that we can copy the logo from. E mail to:sales@craftcanopy.com
Once we determine how the logo(s) and artwork and determine number of sidewalls, weight bags or railskirts, then we will fax you a firm quotation including shipped charges etc.
